Five track athletes earn All-America Scholar Athlete recognition
The following FPU student-athletes earned NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete honors. The award is limited to juniors and seniors who have a minimum 3.50 grade-point average on a 4.00 scale and achieved either provisional or automatic qualifying marks in the NAIA National Indoor or Outdoor Championship.
Three of the student-athletes listed below were double winners. Molly McAmis and Zenaida Cruz finished third and sixth, respectively, in the hammer throw, and Mario Ordaz was fifth in the discus at the recently completed 2005 NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Louisville, Kentucky. The trio claimed All-America honors in addition to their All-America Scholar Athlete recognition.
