Saturday triple-header

Saturday, September 11, will be busy day on the campus of Fresno Pacific University as the Sunbirds will play host to three athletic contests.

FPU's triple-header gets underway at 3:00 PM when the Sunbirds, top-ranked in the NAIA host Golden State Athletic Conference rival Westmont. The volleyball Sunbirds are 10-0 on the season, including a 1-0 mark in GSAC play.

At 5:00 the No. 3 ranked FPU men's soccer team will host Bethany college. The Sunbirds, 3-0-0 on the season, will again be without the services of Fabricio Codeceira, the 2003 NAIA National Player of the Year. Earlier this week Codeceira aggravated a groin/back condition that has kept him out of action since late May. He has a follow up appointment with team doctors next week.

At 7:00 PM the FPU women's soccer team with also host Bethany College. FPU is 2-1-0 on the season and will try to rebound from Thursday's 3-0 loss to Cal State Stanislaus.
