Saturday triple-header highlights Homecoming weekend

Saturday, October 2, Homecoming Saturday, will be busy day on the southeast Fresno campus.

FPU will host the Concordia University-Irvine Eagles in a Golden State Athletic Conference triple-header that gets underway in the Special Events Center at 3:00. The Sunbirds (17-0, 7-0) volleyball team, ranked No. 1 in the NAIA will host the No. 5 Eagles (16-0, 7-0). Both teams are undefeated.

At 5:00 over at Steinert Field FPU's women's soccer team (5-3-0, 0-1-0) with also host Concordia (1-5-1, 0-1-0) . At 7:00 PM the FPU men's soccer team (8-1-0, 0-1-0) will face Concordia (4-4-0). The Eagles host Azusa Pacific today at 3:00 PM.

Both FPU soccer teams are looking for their first GSAC win of the season after dropping identical 3-0 scores at Azusa Pacific earlier this week.

The day's events also include a Tailgate Dinner and Kid’s Carnival in Hamilton-Winery Parking Lot from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Tickets for the Tailgate and all three contests are available at the gate.
