| Clark Sheehy started his coaching career working summer basketball camps at JBU. He served as an assistant coach for the JBU women’s team in 1999, then served one season as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II member Texas A&M University, Commerce, while he completed a master of education (physical education) degree. Sheehy then moved to Texas State, joining the Bobcats before the start of the 2000-01 season.
Sheehy is a 1999 graduate of John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was a three-year starter, averaged 12 points per game over his four-year career (1995-98) and earned All-Sooner Conference honors his junior and senior seasons.
Sheehy, who is 29 years of age and single, is the son of JBU men's basketball coach John Sheehy. The senior Sheehy guided the unseeded Golden Eagles to the NAIA National Division I Championship in March.
