Personal - Andy is a native of Denver Colorado... his parents are Judy and Steve Barnett of Castle Rock, Colorado... both are teachers... has two older brothers... is a Denver Broncos fan... home church is New Hope Presbyterian... plans a career in business.
Prior to FPU - Andy graduated from Douglas County High School in Castle Rock in 2000... played four seasons for the Huskies who were coached by his Dad... where he played four seasons... enrolled at Eastern Wyoming Junior College where he helped the Lancers to a 29-6 record as a sophomore and Mark Fowler and Nicola Caroli were his teammates.
As a junior (2002-03) - Andy appeared in 32 games, including 16 starts... averaged 7.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in 23.8 minutes of action per game.
As a senior (2003-04) - Andy started 23 of the 31 games he appeared in... averaged 6-4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 25 minutes per game. |
