Personal - Rod was born in Racine, Wisconsin, and graduated from J. I. Case High School in 1998... is a kinesiology major.
Prior to FPU - At J. I. Case High School Rod competed in both basketball and track & field... played two seasons of basketball at Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona. As a junior (2005-06) - Rod appeared in 19 of the 28 contents for the Sunbirds... averaging 2.5 points and 2.7 rebounds.
