Prior to FPU - Nate was a dual sport athlete at Alameda High School, excelling in both baseball and basketball... was an All-State honoree in 2000 as a junior, the year AHS advanced to the Colorado Final Four... was slowed by a broken leg and damaged tendons in that summer, but still earned first team all-conference honors a senior... earned distinguished academic All-America honors both seasons at Otero Junior College. Personal - Nate is a native of Denver, Colorado... his parents are Glenda and John Uchida of Lakewood... is a business management major and hope to one day own his own restaurant.
As a junior (2004-05) - Nate appeared in 21 of FPU's 29 contests... averaged 2.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 11.2 minutes per game.
As a senior (2005-06) - Nate appeared in all of the Sunbirds 28 contests... including 11 starts... averaged 3.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 19.3 minutes per game.
