La Mirada - The 21st-ranked Biola University Eagles used 19 points from Paul Guerrero and 15 more from Brandon Warner to claim a 64-50 Golden State Athletic Conference win over the visiting Fresno Pacific University Sunbirds tonight in La Mirada.
The Eagles, who improved to 12-3 overall and 4-1 in GSAC play, led by five, 27-22, after 20 minutes of play.
Josh Urbiztondo led the Sunbirds with 13 points. Rudy Lopez supported with nine points and seven rebounds.
"They got after us early," said FPU head coach Clark Sheehy. "I felt like we never really got into a rhythm. But we'll get back to work tomorrow and get ready for Saturday."
The Sunbirds will host the Vanguard University Lions this Saturday. Tip-off time in the Special Events Center is 4:30 p.m.
