El Zanaty, Chernouski sign with FPU
FPU head coach Clark Sheehy has added two community college transfers to his 2005-06 roster.
Moustafa El Zanaty, a native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and Roderick Chernouski, originally from Wisconsin, both signed letters of intent to attend FPU this fall, Sheehy announced today.
El Zanaty, a 6-4 wing, played his freshman season at North Dakota School of Sciences, then moved to Adelphi University in Garden City, New York last season. Chernouski, a 6' 8" center who now resides in Douglas, Arizona, played two seasons at Cochise Community College. Douglas, Arizona. Both are juniors with two seasons of eligibility.
"We are excited to have both Moustafa and Roderick join the program," said Sheehy. "They both bring experience to the team. They are a year or two older and posses a maturity that will help us."
The Sunbirds begin their 2005-06 season November 4 at the Westminster University Classic in Salt Lake City.
