Sarah Montavon, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, is a 2002 FPU physical education graduate. She began her coaching career during the 2002-03 season. Montavon earned All-Golden state Athletic Conference honors her senior season at FPU and was a strong contributor to the Sunbirds GSAC championship and trip to the National Championships in Jackson, Tennessee. She played her first three seasons for GSAC-rival Biola, then transferred to FPU. In all she averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game over her 124-game collegiate career. Montavon completed a bachelor's degree in physical education in the spring of 2002. She is currently working to obtain her single-subject teaching credential in physical education and hopes to teach and coach at the high school level in the near future.
