Personal - Kari's parents are Lois and Robert Cox of Bend, Oregon... has two older sisters... enjoys fishing and camping... home church is the Christian Life Center... has been active in youth ministries at the church... is a physical education major and plans a career as a high school teacher and coach... is a FPU Presidents Scholar.
Prior to FPU - Kari was a three sport letter winner at Bend High School, including volleyball, basketball and track... in three trips to the Oregon High School championship Kari finished 6th, 5th and 4th in the discus.
As a freshman (2004-05) - Kari appeared in each of the team's 31 contests, including 11 starts... averaged 4.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per contest... scored a team-high 19 points against Califonria Baptist on December 4, 2004.
As a sophomore (2005-06) - Kari appeared in everyone of the of the Sunbird's 29 contests, including 23 starts... averaged 8.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 0.9 steals in 24.7 minutes per game... Kari almost registered a double-double in her outstanding performace against Olivet Nazarene in which she registered 27 points (13-19), 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal... hit double points 11 times.
