Personal - Amanda is the third of Sandy and Bob Kamps' daughters to play basketball at FPU... is a business major ... enjoys water skiing and wake boarding... is a San Francisco 49er's and Sacramento Kings fan... has been active in the youth group at her home church, Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church.
Prior to FPU - Amanda earned letters in golf, volleyball and basketball at Ripon Christian High School... earned All-Trans-Valley League honors in 2002 and 2003... was the RCS senior class president and name the RCS outstanding scholar athlete.
Aa a freshman (2003-04) - Amanda appeared in 28 of the team's 31 contests... averaged 2.8 points and 1.3 rebounds in 11 minutes per game.
As a sophomore (2004-05) - Amanda sustained a season-ending knee injury in preseason training and will miss the 2004-05 season.
As a junior (2005-06) - Coming back from ACL surgery Amanda played in every one of the Sunbird's 29 contests, including 2 starts... averaged 2.0 points, 1.1 rebounds, and .5 assists in 10.8 minutes per game... was named to the NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete team.
