As a freshman (1998-99) - Teresa became only the second player in FPU history to earn All-GSAC honors as a freshman... appeared in each of the Sunbirds 31 games, starting 14 of them... averaged 13.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game on the season, 16.9 points and 6.9 rebounds a game in conference play... broke an FPU record with 21 rebounds against Southern California College (now Vanguard) in a GSAC semifinal game... shared the team's most improved award with Ashlee Pinasco and Annie Taylor.
As a sophomore (1999-00) - Teresa started each of the team's 32 games... led the Sunbirds in 16 of 21 statistical categories, including 555 points (17.34 ppg) and 280 rebounds (8.75)... ranked third in the GSAC in scoring (17.34), fourth in rebounding (8.75), sixth in field goal percentage (.508) and ninth in free throw percentage (.711)... improved her free throw percentage from 51.1 percent as a freshman to 71.1 percent... reached double figures in scoring in all but three games... notched double-doubles in 11 games... set an FPU season record with 175 free throws... was named All-GSAC for the second consecutive season... also earned NAIA All-America honorable mention honors.
As a junior (2000-01) - Teresa started each of the Sunbirds 33 games... averaged 17.82 points and 9.39 rebounds per contest... became the Sunbirds career scoring leader... ended the season with 1,567 points... was named All-GSAC for the third consecutive season... also earned NAIA All-America honorable mention honors for the second consecutive season... also named to the NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete Team... needs 433 points and 192 rebounds to become the first FPU player to reach 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career.
As a senior (2001-02) - Teresa was named to the All-GSAC team for the fourth time, the only FPU player so honored... was also honored as the 2002 GSAC player of the year... is the first player in FPU history, and only the second in GSAC history, to amass more than 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career... was named to the NAIA All-America second team, only the second Sunbird so honored... named an NAIA Scholar Athlete for the second consecutive season... established numerous season and career records... link to Teresa Kamps career records... a model of consistency, Teresa started 114 of a possible 131 games during her outstanding four-season career and never missed a contest because of injury or illness... was named the team's most valuable player and Sunbird of the year... was later named the 2002 FPU Scholar Athlete and shared the FPU Sunbird of the year with Chrisie Gregory.
Prior to FPU - Teresa was a two sport letter winner at Ripon Christian High School... helped the RCHS Knights to league championships in both softball and basketball... earned Trans Valley League first team honors in both 1997 and 1998... was the TVL most outstanding player in 1998... earned numerous honors including The Modesto Bee All-District, Stockton Record All-Area and CIF Division V All-California.
Personal - Teresa's parents are Bob and Sandy Kamps of Ripon... enjoys water-skiing, camping and soccer... home church is the Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church in Ripon... FPU President's Scholar.
