Fresno - The Sunbirds were no match for the cross-town NCAA Division I Fresno State Bulldogs.
The hosts used a balanced attack to swamp the Sunbirds 91-46 in an exhibition game in the Save Mart Center tonight.
Toni Atherley (15 points), Andrea Roberson (11), Brittani Green and Faith Probst (each with 10) each reached double-figures for Fresno State.
The Sunbirds, who trailed 35-19 at the break, were led by Melissa Montoya's eight points.
The Sunbirds open their regular season in Oakland on Friday night where they will participate in the Holy Names Classic. Friday they will face the hosts at 8:00 p.m. , then take on Oregon Tech Saturday at 5:00.
