Sunbirds sign Mazza

Jessica Mazza, a 5-8 guard from Ceres High School, has signed a letter of intent to attend Fresno Pacific this fall.

Mazza averaged 10.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 3.1 steals per game this past season for the coach Shawna Nunes and the 23-6 Bulldogs.

Mazza helped the Bulldogs to a 12-3 Modesto Metro Conference record and co-championship. She was selected to the All-MMC first team.

"We are delighted to have Jessica commit to Fresno Pacific," said FPU head coach Jim Hall. "She has a reputation as a talented, 'do-everything' guard'. She is an excellent athlete who will make an immediate impact at the wing position for us. I think she is a perfect fit at FPU."
