Simi Valley High School (1999)

Track & field

Prior to FPU - Ken earned three letters each in cross country and track at Simi Valley High School... earned All-Marmonte League honors as both a junior and senior... finished second in the Marmonte league championship... earned All-Ventura County honors as a senior when he finished third in the County Championship... is the SVHS record-holder at three miles with a 15:47 at the Woodbridge Invitational.
Personal - Ken's parents are Becky and Steve Wilkinson of Simi Valley... has one younger sister, Crystal... special interests include music and bass guitar... played the bass in the high school worship band in his home church of Simi Valley Covenant Church... undecided on a major... will likely pursue a career in either education or the ministry.
As a freshman (1999) - Ken ran a season best 26:42 for 8,000 meters at the Willamette University Invitational in Salem, Oregon... also ran 20:57 over 6,000 meters and 21:53 for 4 miles... was the team's number five runner.
As a sophomore (2000) - Ken helped the Sunbirds to a fourth place team finish at the GSAC Championship when he ran a ran a season-best 27:37.
As a junior (2001) - Ken saved the best of the season for last as he was the second Sunbirds to cross the finish line in the last two events of the season, the GSAC and Region 2 Championships... was named the team's Sunbird of the year.
As a senior (2002) - Ken completed his collegiate career as the number three runner for the Sunbirds... was the first FPU runner across the line in the 4,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational.
