Prior to FPU - Eddie earned four varsity letters in soccer and two in football at Porterville High School... was the 2001 East Yosemite League Player of the Year... played his freshman season at Fresno State University.
Personal - Eddie is married to Erica Padilla... they are the proud parents of one year old Brookelyn... Eddie's parents are Alilia and George Padilla of Porterville... is fluent in Spanish and English... enjoys golfing... is a liberal studies major and plans a career as an elementary school teacher.
The 2002 season - Eddie appeared in 18 matches for the Sunbirds, all starts... scored 15 goals and added six assists for 36 points on 71 shots... shared the team's Most Outstanding Offensive Player award with Fabricio Codeceira... was named to the All-GSAC team.
The 2003 season - Eddie enjoyed another productive season, scoring 15 goals and adding 14 assists... was named to the GSAC, Region 2 and NAIA All-America first team.
The 2004 season - Eddie wrapped up his intercollegiate career with 17 appearances, including 14 starts... registered seven goals and eight assists for 22 points... was agained named to the All-GSAC and All-Region 2 teams... was named to the NAIA All-America second team... in all Eddie appeared in 56 matches with 37 goals and 28 assists for 102 points...he is only the --- player to surpass the 100-point barrier, and he did it on only three seasons. |
