Personal - Amaury was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil... parents are Amaury Filho and Heloisa Nuzes... has one older sister and one younger brother... speaks Portuguese, Spanish, English and a little Dutch and Japanese... favorite movie is 'Count of Monte Cristo'... major is International Business... wants to play professional soccer.
Prior to FPU - Amaury played for Oklahoma Baptist University last year... scored 19 goals and had 7 assists earning 45 points... competed with the Fresno Fuego over the past summer.
As a sophomore (2005) - Amaury played and started in 16 of the Sunbird's 17 matches... was the backbone of the FPU offense... notched 17 goals and 1 assist for a total of 35 points... took 73 shots for a .233 shooting percentage and a .699 (51-73) shots on goal percentage... put in 6 goals for the game winner... was 2-3 on PKs... was named to the All-GSAC Team... Honorable Mention for NAIA All-American Team... awarded Outstanding Offensive Player with teammate Adrian Alvarado.
