Match Notes - FPU

* Any faint hope the Sunbirds fostered of repeating as GSAC champions vanished in the first half of a 5-2 drubbing Thursday night at Vanguard. FPU, now 4-2-1 in GSAC play, are in third place one-half game ahead of Biola (3-2-2).

* The margin in both FPU's two GSAC loses has been three goals- at Azusa Pacific (3-0, September 28) and Vanguard (5-2, October 21).

* Senior striker Orlando Ramirez has scored 20 goals so far this season. Ramirez also has 13 assists for 53 points. He has scored a total of 73 goals in his career.

* There are several others who have found the back of the net with regularity this season. The list includes Milton Blanco (8 goals, 14 assists, 30 points), Gaston Cignetti (7-2-16), Eddie Gutierrez (7-7-21), Adam Arteaga (7-5-19) and Jared Dugger (8-2-18).

* Fabricio Codeceira has 5 goals and 5 assists (15 points) in six matches. The 2003 NAIA National Player of the Year missed the first nine games of the season with a nagging lower body injury sustained in May while playing for the Fresno Fuego of the Premier Development League

* Oscar Rodriguez has a 7-2-1 record while logging 936 minutes in the FPU goal.
