NAIA Top 25 poll - September 21

Belmont - A pair of goals by Milton Blanco was more than what the Fresno Pacific University Sunbirds needed this afternoon to forge an impressive 3-0 win over host Notre Dame de Namur University.

Blanco scored what turned out to be the match-winner at 20:24 on an assist from Orlando Ramirez.

Blanco added a little insurance at 58:58, then Eddie Gutierrez iced it at 87:44. Ramirez drew assists on all three goals.

"This is the best Notre Dame team I have seen," said FPU head coach Jaime Ramirez. "They are extremely aggressive and I thought we dominated them. It could have easily been 6-0 or 7-0. It was a convincing win."

Oscar Rodriguez registered the shutout in the FPU goal. He was credited with two saves.

The Sunbirds will host Menlo College this Friday in their final non-conference match of the season. Kick-off time at Steinert Field is 7:00 PM.
