ERIK FARFAN - HEAD COACH

After working faithfully as the women's assistant coach since the programs inception in 2001, Erik Farfan now takes over the head coach responsibilities from Jaime Ramirez.

Farfan’s passion for soccer has been evident since he completed his collegiate playing career at California State University, Fresno. He has coached numerous club teams and most recently spent four years as the varsity girls coach at Buchanan High School. Farfan lead the Bear’s to both League and Valley Championships this past season. Farfan has also served as the women’s assistant coach at Fresno City College.

Farfan has is highly regarded in the Central Valley. He was named the Fresno Bee All-Star Coach of the Year in 2006 as well as gaining distinction as the Clovis All-City Coach of the Year (2005 & 2006) and Tri-River Athletic Conference Coach of the Year (2005 & 2006).

Farfan graduated from CSU Fresno with a bachelor's degree in mass communications and journalism in 1997 He then completed a master's degree in kinesiology at CSU Fresno, and was awarded the Graduate Student Research Merit Award.

Farfan inherits 15 players fro a team that completed the 2005 season with a 6-9-2 record.
