Prior to FPU - Andrea earned four letters in soccer and tennis at Hoover High School (1994-98)... was a key member of three consecutive North Yosemite League championship teams (1996-98)... was a three-time NYL first team selection (1996-98) and was named the NYL player of the year as a senior in 1998... was named the Hoover female athlete of the year in 1998, the same year she earned NYL first team honors in tennis... enrolled at CSU Fresno where she played two seasons for the NCAA Division I Bulldogs... as a Bulldog Andrea scored the match-winning goal against San Jose State in 1999 Western Athletic Conference semifinal.
Personal - Andrea's parents are Diana and Allen Bockowski of Fresno... is the oldest of three children... nickname is Andi... is a 49ers fan and enjoys tennis... is a liberal studies major and plans a career as an elementary school teacher and coach... home church is People's Church.
As a junior (2001) - Andrea started all 16 matches for the Sunbirds in their inaugural intercollegiate season... scored five goals and assisted on four more for a total of 14 points... lead the team with 46 shots and four assists... was named the team's most valuable player ... is the first FPU player to be named to the Golden State Athletic Conference team.
As a senior (2002) - Andrea was the team's leading scorer this season with 10 goals and four assist with 24 points... scored two match-winning goals and is now the FPU career scoring leader with 15 goals, eight assists for 38 points in 32 matches... was selected to the Golden State Athletic Conference team for the second consecutive season.
