Personal - Julie's parents are Laura Beth and Jaime Ramirez of Fresno... follows her father and older brother Orlando to FPU... her favorite athlete is her Orlando who is currently playing with the San Jose Earthquakes... nickname is Jules... was the 2003 RHS salutatorian... home church is The Well Community Church... is a liberal studies major and plans a career as a high school mathematics teacher.
Prior to FPU - Julie was a four-time soccer letter winner at Roosevelt High School... earned second team All-North Yosemite League honors as a freshman and first team honors as a sophomore and junior... was the NYL MVP and an All-CIF Central Section first team selection her senior year... was named the RHS team MVP following her junior and senior seasons... played four seasons with the Roosevelt Revolution Soccer Club.
As a freshman (2003) - Julie appeared in 17 of the team's 19 matches, all starts... missed two with an ankle problem... notched four goals and two assists in a strong freshman campaign.
As a sophomore (2004) - Julie started each of the team's 18 matches... was second on the team in scoring with 16 points on five goals and six assists... shared the team's Most Outstanding Offensive player with Elizabeth Burns and Jamie (Peterson) Belmont... named to the All-GSAC team.
As a junior (2005) - Julie appeared and started in all of the Sunbird's 17 matches... finished out the year with 6 goals and 4 assists for a total of 16 points... notched up 2 game winners... and a successful PK attempt against Hope International... had a .180 shooting percentage and a .625 shot on goal percentage... awarded Outstanding Offensive Player... was named to the All-GSAC Team.
