Final:
#19 Biola 2, Sunbirds 0

Box score

La Mirada - Early second half goals by Krystal McKay and Jessica Greene powered No. 19 Biola to a 2-0 Golden State Athletic Conference win over the Sunbirds in La Mirada tonight.

McKay's third goal of the season, just 2:20 into the second half, (47:20) proved to be the match-wnner. Greene added her insurance goal13 minutes later as the Eagles (6-4-3, 4-2-2 GSAC) out-shot the Sunbirds 18-4.

Justine Caldera and Audra Carter each recorded three saves in the FPU goal.

"They (Biola) knocked it around really well," said FPU head coach Jaime Ramirez. "I'm really proud of the physical effort we put forward tonight , but offensively we could not string any passes together, I think we are a better team than we showed tonight."

It does not get any easier for the Sunbirds, now 6-7-1 overall and 2-4-1 in GSAC play. They return to Steinert Field Saturday to host No.11 Westmont (7-2-2, 3-2-2). Kick-off time is 5:00 p.m. Next Tuesday, they will host No.1 Azusa Pacific (7:00 p.m.).
