Personal - Matt hails from Melbourne, Australia... son of David and Gabriella Carroll... is a right hander who enjoys watching Australian rules football and playing PS2... related to that interest he attributes his best win to "beating Andre Agassi with Pat Rafter in VirtuaTennis 2 (PS2)"... transfered from Seminole State College.
Prior to FPU - Matt was ranked #1 in Austrialia in the 16 & under division in 1999... was named 2005 JUCO All-American in both singles and doubles.
As a sophomore (2005-06) - Achieved a 11-11 singles record and 14-13 doubles record... spent all his time in the #1 slot for the Sunbirds... finished the year ranked #6 in the NAIA ITA Tennis poll in singles and #15 in doubles with partner Marco Foelz... named to the All-GSAC Team, Region 2 Team, and NAIA All-American 1st Team.
