#10 FPU defeats #23 Concordia 7-2

RAIN DELAYED OVER SIX HOURS
Fresno - The start of the FPU - Concordia tennis match was delayed six and one-half hours because of rain and wet court conditions, but it didn't seem to bother the Sunbirds.
Originally scheduled to begin at noon, the match finally got underway at 6:30 p.m.
The hosts improved their overall record to 10-5, including an 8-2 Golden State Athletic Conference mark, with a 7-2 win over the Eagles.
FPU's only problem came at the No. 1 slot. Concordia's Tim Kpulun defeated Matt Carroll 6-2, 6-3, then teamed with Cesar Villares to defeat Carroll and Anthony Zafiris 8-6 in doubles.
The Sunbirds will be in San Diego next Saturday to face the Point Loma Nazarene University Seas Lions.
