Personal - Jelena's parents are Jasna and Slobodan Pandzic ... has one sister, Mariya... plans to major in psychology.
Prior to FPU - Jelena represented her home country of Croatia at the Continental Cup as a 13 year old and competed in the under 18 age group... was ranked No. 1 in the world in the under 14 age bracket ... was among the top three players in Europe in the under 16 age bracket ... played her freshman season at Fresno State University where she finished as the NCAA Division I singles national runner-up.
As a sophomore - Pandzic was a perfect 30-0 in singles play this season, with a final #1 ranking by the NAIA ITA Tennis poll... She was 25-0 in dual matches and 5-0 in tournament play, she did not drop a set while winning 360 of 396 games... Pandzic and doubles partner Amandine Ferot were ranked No. 3 by the ITA, they compiled a 24-1 record with their only loss (7-9) coming on the final day of the season against Auburn Montgomery in the NAIA National Championship match... named the Golden State Athletic Conference and NAIA Region 2 Player of the Year, awarded the Marvin P. Richmond Trophy as the Most Outstanding Player at the NAIA National Championship... also named to the All-GSAC Team, NAIA Region 2 Team, NAIA All-American 1st Team, and NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete.
