Saturday, May 26, 2006 - FPU at the NAIA National Championship

Fresno - The Sunbirds highlight of the final day of competition in the NAIA National Championship was provided by long distance specialist Robert Hernandez. The Sophomore form Hesperia finished seventh in the marathon with a time of 2:34:55.40.

Freshman teammate Stuart Patterson, also from Hesperia, finished 18th with a time of 2:41:35.13.

Senior Mario Ordaz finished 20th in the discus with a mark of 147-06.

Friday, May 26, 2006 - FPU at the NAIA National Championship

Fresno - Jeff Bogdanof lowered his personal best in the 110 meter high hurdles by .03 but it wasn't quite enough to advance to the finals of the 2006 NAIA National Championship. Bogdanof, a junior from Buchanan High School, finished fifth in his semifinal with a 14.78 mark.

In the shot put, senior Mario Ordaz finished ninth with a mark of 51-04.50. Ordaz will compete in the discus tomorrow.

Thursday, May 25, 2006 - FPU at the NAIA National Championship

Fresno - Jeff Bogdanof finished third in the fourth heat of the 110 meter high hurdles and advanced to tomorrow's semifinals. Bogdanof's time of 14.81 was a personal-best.

Freshman Claudio Moreno did not compete in the 1,500 meters. Benny Madrigal is scheduled to compete in the 10,000 meters at 9:20 tonight.
