Prior to FPU - Kristin earned All-Tri-River Athletic Conference and All-Valley honors at Clovis High School both cross country and track... helped the Cougars to TRAC and Valley championships in both sports ... was a member of the Cougars squad that won the California State track and field championship in 1997.
Personal - Kristin's parents are Tim and Carol Fairley of Clovis... has two brothers, one older and one younger... enjoys pizza, skiing, riding horses, running and has a special interest in history... attends Valley Christian Center.
2002 season - Kristin enjoyed her best season... was the GSAC champion in the 10,000 meters... earned NAIA All-America honors in the 10,000 meters and marathon... finished fifth in the 10,000 meters for a FPU record 37:54.80 at the NAIA National Championship in Olathe, Kansas... followed that less than 36 hours later with a second place finish in the marathon... her marathon time of 3:10:51.64 was 30 minutes faster than her previous best time... also earned NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete honors. |
