Prior to FPU - Molly was a three-sport letter winner at Righetti High School... played middle blocker in volleyball, forward in basketball and catcher in softball... earned All-Northern League honors in both softball and basketball... was the Northern League player of the year as a senior when she led the Warriors to a 21-7 record and league championship... broke the ERHS season scoring record with 496 points in the process... was honored as an All-Area/Region selection by the Santa Maria Times, Santa Barbara News Press and the Los Angeles Times... capped of her outstanding high school career by being named the Norther Santa Barbara County Athletic Roundtable Scholar Athlete of the year... also played one season of club ball with the Santa Maria Rebels.
Personal - Molly was born in Santa Maria, California... her parents are Peggy and Dave McAmis of Santa Maria... running, drawing, painting and horseback riding are among her special interests... also considered CSU Northridge... nickname is Molls... is a National Honor Society and California Scholastic Federation lifetime member... is a physical therapy major and plans a career in the field of medicine.
As a freshman (2002-03 - Molly put the shot at 42' 8.25" to finish 10th at the NAIA National Track and Field championship in Olathe, Kansas.
As a sophomore (2003-04) - Molly hit a mark of 40-07.75 in the shot put to finish 17th at the NAIA National outdoor championship... earned All-America honors by finishing sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 162-05. |
