Los Angeles - Freshmen Vanessa Mackenzie and Melissa Dowlat provided the FPU highlights at the Occidental Distance Carnival today.

Mackenzie recorded a 2:20.3 (converted from had timing at 2:20.44) in the 800 meters to become the second fastest in FPU history. She trails only Kim Fichtner's 2:19.90 established at the CSU Stanislaus Invitational in Turlock on March 30, 1996

Dowlat raced to an 18:37.3 mark in the 5,000 meters and claimed the fifth spot on FPU's career list.
