Prior to FPU - Julie earned MVP honors in both basketball and volleyball at Chowchilla High School in her junior and senior seasons... helped CUHS win four North Sequoia League and three Central Section volleyball championships... named to the Merced Star All-Area team in both basketball and volleyball... also named to the Fresno Bee All-Area volleyball team in 2003 and 2004. Personal - Julie's parents are Sharlene and Rocky De Jager of Merced... enjoys waters ports and skiing... has three brothers, one older and two younger... home church is Cornerstone Community Church... is a liberal studies major and plans a career as an elementary school teacher. As a freshman (2005) - Julie appeared in 51 games over 27 matches... averaged 1.84 kills (.288) and 0.75 blocks per game.
