Prior to FPU - Lira earned second team All-America honors in both her seasons at Lake Land Community College in Matton, Illinois.
Personal - Lira is married to Andre Faria, a member of the FPU basketball team... her parents are Nelida Prado and Mauro Xavier of Belo Horizonte, Brazil... enjoys Japanese food... is fluent in both Portuguese and English... is an accomplished tight-rope walker... physical education major.
The 2004 season - Lira averaged 3.30 kills, 7.24 assists, 3.79 digs, 0.74 blocks and 0.40 aces per game... was the key to FPU's 6-2 offense... registered a FPU record 17 triple-doubles... selected FPU's MVP... was named to the All-GSAC, All-Region 2 and NAIA All-America First Team.
The 2005 season - Lira moved into the outside hitting position and averaged 2.5 kills, 1 assists, 2.82 digs, 0.52 blocks and 0.28 aces per game... was named to the All-GSAC and NAIA All-America Second Team Outside Hitter.
