Prior to FPU - Lorena attended the University of Santiago in Cali, Colombia, before transferring to FPU.
Personal - Lorena was born in Santiago de Cali, Colombia in 1981... her parents are at Misael Antonio Zuleta of Pereira, Colombia, and Ana Maria Garcia of Yumbo, Colombia... her full name is Lorena Alexandra Zuleta Garcia... is the youngest of four children... first language is Spanish... enjoys photography, music and dance... at 6-4 is the tallest player to don a Sunbirds uniform.
As a freshman (2002) - Lorena appeared in 117 games over 39 matches and averaged 1.98 kills and 1.48 blocks per game while posting an attack percentage of .309... was selected the GSAC freshman of the year... was named to the All-GSAC and NAIA All-Region teams, as well as picking up All-America honorable mention recognition.
As a sophomore (2003) - Lorena hammered 304 kills and totaled 173 blocks... hit .355 and averaged 2.71 kills and 1.60 blocks per game... was a key factor at the net during the Sunbirds run to the National Championship... was named to the NAIA All-America third team.
As a junior (2004) - Lorena appeared in 120 games and led FPU with 1.84 blocks per game... was named to the All-GSAC, NAIA All-Region 2 and NAIA All-America teams... also named to the NAIA National Championship all-tournament .
As a senior (2005) - Lorena completed her collegiate career with another stellar season... averaged 3.35 kills per game with an attack efficiency of .470... also contributed 1.13 blocks, 0.66 digs and 0.30 aces per game... became FPU's career blocks leader with 686... was named to the All-GSAC, NAIA All-Region 2 and NAIA All-America teams... also named to the NAIA National Championship all-tournament .
