San Diego - The Sunbirds continued to roll in pool play with their third consecutive sweep. This morning they defeated Houston Baptist 30-20, 30-20, 30-20 on the strength of a balanced attack.

Lira Xavier (14 kills, 1 error, 16 swings, .812 attack efficiency) Lorena Zuleta (11-4-20, .350), Thais Julio (13-4-18, .500) Brittany Pierce (14-3-24, .429) and Marin Shilling (9-1-15, .533) did most of the damage as FPU out-hit HBU .449 to .123.

Samantha Weatherly cleaned up the back row with 21 digs.

The Sunbirds complete pool play action tomorrow at 11:15 a.m. when they face eighth-seeded Georgetown of Kentucky.
