Sunbirds sweep Tech
The Fresno Pacific University Sunbirds made it two in a row with a 30-24, 30-20, 30-17 sweep of Oregon tech this evening.
Marin Shilling (15 kills, 2 blocks) and Brittany Pierce (11 kills, 14 digs) again led the way for the 2-0 Sunbirds.
FPU will face Cornerstone (Michigan) at 1:00 p.m. and finish against Notre Dame de Namur at 7:00 p.m.

Sunbirds roll in opener
The Fresno Pacific University Sunbirds got the 2005 season under way with a 30-17, 30-14, 30-24 romp over Bellevue University of Nebraska, this morning in the Special Events Center.
Marin Shilling (13 kills, 3 blocks) and Brittany Pierce (13 kills, 10 digs) led FPU. Lorena Zuleta .562 with 10 kills on 16 swings with only one error. Freshman Allanah Munson had 37 assists and 10 digs.
Krystal Ksiazek led the 20th-ranked Bruins with nine kills and 10 digs.
