Fresno - Freshman opposite hitter Thais Julio led the Sunbirds to an entertaining 30-22, 28-30, 30-20, 28-30, 15-10 win over the FPU Alumni in the Special Events Center tonight.

Julio had 21 kills and 14 digs and had help from by Marin Shilling (14 kills) and Deanna Richards (11) . Freshman setter Allanah Munson contributed 51 assists.

The Sunbirds, sporting a perfect 9-0 record and ranked No. 1 in the NAIA, return to Golden State Athletic conference action on Tuesday in Fullerton when they face Hope International.

Next match in the Special Events Center is Saturday, September 17, when the Sunbirds host the No.5 Concordia University Eagles. The first ball will be served at 3:00 p.m.
