GSAC Match #2 - Sunbirds sweep Hope International

Fullerton - the top ranked Sunbirds needed only 70 minutes to sweep the Hope International University Royals 30-13, 30-20, 30-17 in Golden State Athletic Conference play in Fullerton tonight.
Sophomore Marin Shilling led the Sunbirds with 15 kills. Other key contributors were Brittany Pierce (9 kills, 8 digs, 3 aces) and Thais Julio (9 kills).
Samantha Weatherly lead back row players with 23 digs.
FPU improves to 10-0 overall and 2-0 in GSAC play. The Royals are 0-3 on the season and 0-3 in GSAC play.
The Sunbirds will host 5th-ranked Concordia (10-1, 1-1) on Saturday. The fist ball will be serves at 3:00 p.m.
