#1 Sunbirds swamp #10 Concordia
Fresno - The top ranked Sunbirds made short work of 10th-ranked Concordia, dispatching the 2004 NAIA National semifinalists in a 30-20, 30-14, 30-19 Golden State Athletic Conference sweep that lasted just 70 minutes.
Thais Julio (15 kills) and Marin Shilling (12 kills did most of the damage for the top-ranked Sunbirds.
Setter Shu Liu contributed 38 assists, 10 digs and seven kills.
The Eagles, now 11-2, including a 2-2 mark in GSAC play, were lead by Chie Inoue's 11 kills.
FPU improves to 11-0, including a 3-0 GSAC mark, and will host #5 Azusa Pacific (11-2, 3-1) on Tuesday. The first ball will be served at 7:00 p.m.
